Syracuse City Championship: K-6 and K-12.
Everyone wins a prize!
Trophies: Top
seven players & three teams in K-4, top five players &
three teams in K-6 and in K-12.
Medallions w/ribbons to all non-trophy winners
scoring 2.5 points or more and all kindergartners.
Consolation prizes to all
others.
Exceptions
Syracuse City Championship: K-6
& K-12: Top five players and three teams in each
section.
Entry Fees:
$12 by Friday before event; $20 on-site.
Syracuse
City $6.

and a completed entry form will be required of all
players (covering player, coach and spectator alike) |
Team scores:
Top
two to five players from a school count toward team
score per section (including any players enrolled in a
school chess club).
Team rosters must be
submitted by Friday evening prior to event. There is no
limit on the number of players representing a team.
Late
Registration: 8:00am - 9:00am for
Saturday tournaments
10:30am - 11:30am for Sunday
tournaments
Schedule: Four-game/non-elimination.
1st
game
9:30pm (1st game at 12:30 for Sunday events)
Flex-schedule for remaining three
games.
Awards immediately after last
round.
Rules of Chess apply! Touch-move in effect.
Chess clocks must be used if provided by players
Tie Breaks: The combined scores of your opponents are your first
tie-break total.
Playoffs: A five minute speed playoffs will be played only between
players tied with perfect 4-0 record to determine 1st place.
Snacks and Drinks will be for sale at site.
Players must bring their own chess sets, boards, clocks &
pencils/pens. None provided at site!
