Syracuse City Championship: K-6 and K-12.
Everyone wins a prize!
Trophies: Top 10
players & four teams in K-4, top seven players & four teams in
K-6 and
in K-12.
Medallions w/ribbons to all
non-trophy winners.
Gold for 3 points, Silver for
2.5 and Bronze for scoring 2 points plus all kindergartners.
Consolation prizes to all others.
Exceptions
County: K-4: Top 15 players and four teams;
K-6: Top 10 players and four teams; K-8 & K-12:
Top seven players and three teams.
City: K-6 & K-12: Top five players and
three teams
in each section.
Entry Fees:
$12 by Friday before event; $18 on-site.
County $15 & $20
City $8 & $10.

Team scores:
Top two to five players from a school count toward team
score per
section (including any players enrolled in a school chess
club).
Team rosters must be submitted by
Friday evening
prior to event.
Registration:
10:30am - 11:30am [Exception: City from 8:00am - 9:00am]
Schedule: Four-game/non-elimination.
1st
game 12:30pm (except Holy Cross at 1:00pm and the City Championship at
9:30am)
Flex-schedule for remaining three games.
Awards immediately after last round.
Rules of Chess apply! Touch-move in effect.
Chess clocks must be used if provided by players
Tie Breaks: The combined scores of your opponents are your first
tie-break total.
Playoffs: Any perfect scores tied for 1st place will contest 5-minute
championship playoffs.
Snacks and Drinks will be for sale at site.
Players must bring their own chess sets, boards, clocks &
pencils/pens. None provided at site!
